I'm headed out for a run and I was just lamenting the fact that I don't have Cheryl Lynn's "Got To Be Real" on my iPod:
Now THAT is a club track. It's an anthem, no doubt. I just had a little dance party.

Aaron - THIS is why I love checking your blog! After a few Heavy, Deep & Real posts about stuff going on in your life, some political commentary, then BLAM! - I click on the YouTube video and I am instantaneously transported back to the late '70s. One minute I am a parent wearied by a full day with energetic girls, the next I am back to some Friday night in my early 20s. It's the cocktail waitress portion of my career. I'm not wearing jeans and a t-shirt like I am now. In my disco-soundtrack memory I have on my fav Danskin skirt, leotard + heels while I'm singing w/gusto and slinging drinks. Music = intoxicating. Thanks for the ride back in time tonight. In 10 hours my Responsible Adult returns to youth work; this was a nice little break. -Cory
