Let's Get it Goin'
If you are one of the select few reading this, thanks for stopping by. I hope to provide something here for you to interact with so that you will continue to stop by, and to provide something of some quality so that you will not be sorry that you did. That being said, I am pretty much doing this for me and not for you. I hate writing. I hate putting myself out there, exposing my flaws, trying to be funny, failing, wishing I hadn’t tried, and thinking constantly about deleting what I just wrote. I’m thinking about deleting this right now, and it’s only out of sheer stubbornness that I’m not going to. Soooo, this isn’t therapy, but it’s a chance for me to stare down something I hate and hopefully turn it into something I love. Give it the ol’ college try, as my grandfather, father, and now myself are so famous for saying.
Right now this is primarily a story about the sleepy pueblo that is Douglas, Arizona and the budding metropolis that is Agua Prieta, Sonora. For the time being, that is the reality in which I live, and these are the people that I live it with. I'll also spend quite a bit of time on some of my other interests, such as political theory, faith, music, film, my friends, etc. If you are any one of those things, be warned that you might find yourself written about.
Finally, I wanted to have some sort of blogging code of ethics, like what people, places, or things it would be kosher to write about, or with what language I would describe them, but seeing as I am generally adverse to writing I decided it might be bad to begin my career by limiting myself, so I’ll do the best I can and then modify things when I begin to get in trouble. Basically, if Tutu Alice starts reading this, I pray she’ll forgive me, and if the federal government starts reading this, I pray no one gets arrested. I'm only kidding. Sort of.
